Fishtival

A fun and free event for the whole family!

The Fishtival

You don’t have to fish to have fun at the Big Bass Rodeo & Fishtival! Bring the whole family, and while your angler casts around City Park you can catch a good time at the Fishtival, where you’ll find live music, a kids area with casting lessons, a fishing gear raffle, and a host of educational exhibits!

When: Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9 am – 12 noon
Where: Near Popp Bandstand and the Casino Building

The Fishtival highlights many of the state’s fishing resources with interactive demonstrations and information. You’ll find booths from the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries, the New Orleans Fly Fishers, the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary and more.  Check back for the complete list of exhibitors!
