  • Free Zumba Class

    Join your friends for free Zumba classes at the Peristyle in New Orleans City Park. New Orleans City Park and Ochsner are excited to bring the community yet another way to exercise in the Park. Come ready to dance away stress and have some fun. Wear appropriate workout attire, gym shoes, and bring H2O as you’ll work up a sweat! Though the class will be offered rain or shine, should you be curious about a class please call 733-1600.
    Saturdays through December 2019
    Time: 8 am until 8:45 am
    Where:  The Peristyle in New Orleans City Park (near the intersection of Dreyfous and Anseman)
    Cost: Free and no reservations are needed

    Free Hours for LA residents: 10 am to 8 pm
    Special Programing: 5 pm to 8 pm
    Enter through the Oscar J. Tolmas Building at 5 Victory Avenue
    The New Orleans Botanical Garden will extend its hours to 8 pm every Wednesday during the month of April to celebrate "Evenings with Enrique." Each week, "Evenings with Enrique" will feature local musicians playing among the collection of 16 sculptures by the famed Mexican-American artist.     Join your friends for Sunset Yoga in New Orleans City Park.  The class is each Wednesdays through May on the plaza between City Putt & the Great Lawn. Each yoga session is free to the community.     Spring is the best time to repot most orchids. Larry Hennessey will cover all of the basics you’ll need to know to successfully repot and take care of your orchids. After the orchid class take a walk around the conservatory of two sisters and see our beautiful orchids. 

    Larry Hennessey has been growing Orchids for 20 years in New Orleans. Larry is he past President of the New Orleans Orchid Society and also a member of the American Orchid Society. Many of his plants have received awards at local orchid shows and two orchids have been recognized as having superior flowers by the American Orchid Society.
