  • Long Term Road Closure within New Orleans City Park

    Activities

    Part of the road encircling New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) will be closed for more than one year.

    NOMA will be addressing damages to the basement of their building caused by Hurricane Katrina.  The southwest quadrant of the circular roadway will be closed.

    Signs will be erected to direct vehicular traffic during the closure.  Anseman Avenue will be turned into a two-way drive between Dreyfous Drive and Victory Avenue.  Dueling Oaks Drive will be a one way in the direction of NOMA.

    Activities

    Say Aloha and join NOLA City Bark's bi-annual FUNraiser in the Arbor Room at Popp Fountain across from the dog park. Featuring tasty luau treats, wine, beer, and special Hawaiian cocktails. Enjoy live music from the Prescriptions band and an array of auction items as well. Monies raised by the event will be used for capital improvements and major maintenance items at NOLA City Bark.   • HIIT Class with lululemon

    Join your friends at the Peristyle for exercising fun in New Orleans City Park with lululemon. These events are free and open to the public. Each class is from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Every month there will be a new instructor who will bring a new style. HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) use intervals and a variety of movements, to raise your heart rate in a short amount of time. You can expect things like squats, push up variations, burpees, and lunges to name a few. Instructors may bring along free weights, kettle bells, jump ropes, and other accessories to enhance the class. Bring water to stay hydrated and a towel. If guest are required to bring anything else for a particular class lululemon will inform you via their Facebook event page.
