  • Rose Plant Sale

    The New Orleans Botanical Garden hosts plant sales with a wide variety of plants including annuals, perennials, roses, gingers, edibles, succulents, and native plants for sale to the public. Admission to the plant sale is free. The March Plant Sale takes place at the Pelican Greenhouse and is 9am to noon.   • St. Patrick’s Party in City Putt

    Visit City Putt for a St. Patrick's Party March 16th and 17th from 6pm to 10pm The party is $10/person and tickets can be purchased the day-of from City Putt located between Victory and Dreyfous. Each person will get to play one course, enjoy 1 cocktail (or soft drink), taste sweet treats, get a free raffle ticket, and receive giveaways, too. Bring a date or bring the family – everyone will have a great time! For more information call 483-9385. *City Putt is open regular hours with regular fees outside the time of the party.

    New Orleans City Park will host its 71st annual Big Bass Rodeo, the oldest freshwater rodeo in the country.     Stroll through our Home Tweet Home birdhouse exhibit located in the Southern Shade Garden inside the New Orleans Botanical Garden.
    Participate in a silent auction during the month of April bidding on your favorite birdhouse. The New Orleans community will vote 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the “People’s Choice Awards” for favorite birdhouses.
    Bid and vote on your favorite birdhouse daily April 4th through April 30th from 10am to 5pm in the Oscar J. Tolmas Visitor Center and during “Evenings with Enrique” from 5pm to 8pm every Wednesday in April.

    Spring Garden Show in the New Orleans Botanical Garden

    WHAT:
    The annual Spring Garden Show in the New Orleans Botanical Garden invites visitors to explore the beautiful Botanical Garden, more than 50 horticultural exhibits, family friendly activities, and enjoy educational lectures. The festival includes plant sales, garden product sales, a Plant Health Clinic, a Children’s Discovery Zone, and live music on the Haspel Outdoor Stage.

    WHEN:
    Saturday, April 7th 9 am to 5 pm & Sunday, April 8th, 10 am to 4 pm

    WHERE:
    New Orleans Botanical Garden, (enter through the Tolmas Center at 5 Victory Ave., New Orleans, LA 70124)
    There is free parking available on Park streets and in the parking lot next to City Putt.

Programs take place in the Garden Study Center and are free with entrance to the show. Sponsored by the New Orleans Botanical Garden, New Orleans City Park, New Orleans Botanical Garden Foundation and Friends of City Park.  The October Plant Sale will take place inside this event (not at the Pelican Greenhouse).
