    New Orleans Botanical Garden Education Classes
    April 1
    Time: 10 a.m. - noon
    Where:  Meet in front of The Tolmas Center

    Introduce your little green thumbs to the world of gardening! The Botanical Garden Growing Gardeners program introduces children to the fun of gardening while learning about (and playing with!) plants, food, and ecosystems.
    Age requirement: Children ages 6-9 welcome
    Class fee: $17 per class. $14 per class if you register for 6 classes at once! *When paying in advance classes do not need to be used consecutively.

    Spring Garden Show in the New Orleans Botanical Garden

    WHAT:
    The annual Spring Garden Show in the New Orleans Botanical Garden invites visitors to explore the beautiful Botanical Garden, more than 50 horticultural exhibits, family friendly activities, and enjoy educational lectures. The festival includes plant sales, garden product sales, a Plant Health Clinic, a Children’s Discovery Zone, and live music on the Haspel Outdoor Stage.

    WHEN:
    Saturday, April 8th 9 am to 5 pm & Sunday, April 9th, 10 am to 4 pm

    WHERE:
    New Orleans Botanical Garden, (enter through the TOlmas Center at 5 Victory Ave., New Orleans, LA 70124)
    There is free parking available on Park streets and in the parking lot next to City Putt.

    COST:
    Admission is $8.00 for Adults and $4.00 for Children 5 to 12. Children under 5 years old and Friends of City Park receive free admission.

  • Egg-travaganza at City Putt

    Visit City Putt for an Easter Egg party April 15th or 16th from 10am to 6pm visit City Putt for a special event. Egg-travaganza at City Putt party event is $10/person and tickets can be purchased the day of from City Putt located between Victory and Dreyfous. Each person will get to play one course, enjoy 1 cocktail (or soft drink), taste sweet treats, get a free raffle ticket, and giveaways, too. Bring a date or bring the family – everyone will have a great time! WE’ll have a craft table for the kids, too! For more information call 483-9385.

    The annual Fall Garden Festival is an educational experience for home gardeners and professionals. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12 years old. Children under 5 and Friends of City Park enter free. There will be plant and garden product exhibits and sales throughout the garden, a Children's Fun Fest area, educational programs, music, arts & crafts, and more. Programs take place in the Garden Study Center and are free with entrance to the show. Sponsored by the New Orleans Botanical Garden, New Orleans City Park, New Orleans Botanical Garden Foundation and Friends of City Park.  The October Plant Sale will take place inside this event (not at the Pelican Greenhouse).
