    Join us tonight at Celebration in the Oaks! This event is one of the most spectacular holiday lights festivals in the country, with more than 165K visitors pouring into the Park to see the magical winter spectacle. City Park’s famous oaks are swathed in hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights and breathtaking light displays scattered throughout 25 acres of the Park (Botanical Garden, Storyland, and Carousel Gardens and along the 2 mile train route).

    The 2014-2015 season: November 28 - January 3 Closed: 12/24 and 12/31 Sunday - Thursday : 6pm -10pm Friday & Saturday: 6pm -11pm
    Admission: -Tickets: $8/person (you may buy at the gate, but we suggest buying on CelebrationInTheOaks.com as to avoid ticket lines)
    -Children under 3 and Friends of City Park: Free
    Amusement Park Rides:
    -Train Ride: $4
    -Amusement Park Rides: $3/single ride ticket (excludes train)
    -$17/unlimited ride band (includes train)
    Entertainment tonight: 6:15pm to 6:45pm: Lafayette Academy Charter School (choir); 7pm to 8pm: Ronald McDonald House Crescent City Talent Showcase (Vocal and Dance troup); 8pm to 8:30pm: McTeggart Irish Dancers of Louisiana

    The Last Night of the Season

    Join us tonight at Celebration in the Oaks! This event is one of the most spectacular holiday lights festivals in the country, with more than 165,000 visitors pouring into the park to see the magical winter spectacle. City Park’s famous oaks are swathed in hundreds of thousands of twinkling white lights and breathtaking light displays scattered throughout 20 gated acres of the park, including the Botanical Garden, Storyland, and Carousel Gardens and along the 2 mile train route.
    The 2014-2015 season:
    November 29th - January 4th (Closed: 12/24 and 12/31)
    Sunday - Thursday: 6pm -10pm AND Friday & Saturday: 6pm -11pm
    Admission: -Tickets: $8/person (you can buy at the gate, but we suggest avoiding lines by buying on www.CelebrationInTheOaks.com or click on the 'Buy Tickets' symbol to the left of this event.)
    -Children under 3 and Friends of City Park: Free

    -Entertainment tonight: 6:15pm to 7pm: Hollywood Highsteppers

  • Happy 3rd of July

    Join us as we celebrate the 3rd of July! Bring your chairs & blankets and enjoy patriotic music with The Marine Corps Band on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn and fireworks at the Peristyle. Concessions, wine and beer will be available for purchase, or you can bring your own picnic – but please, do not stake tents or blankets into the lawn!

    The Happy 3rd of July event runs from 5:30pm to 9pm and is FREE and open to the public.

  • Martini Madness

    Join the Madness!  With guests gathered to sample 30 specialty martinis and enjoy delicious cuisine from 25 different New Orleans restaurants, it is a blast waiting to happen!  The event takes place from 8 to 11pm and features exciting raffle prizes, photo booth fun, a DJ to get help you get down on the dance floor and more.  

    Tickets are available to adults 21 years old or over for $50 general admission, $45 for FOCP members or $75 “Before the Madness” that includes reserved seating, VIP bar, and an extra hour of fun from 7pm to 8pm.   • Ghosts in the Oaks (night one)

    This family friendly event takes place in the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park and Storyland over on two nights!  October 24th is the second night.  Children of all ages, including the young at heart adults, dress in their Halloween best for unlimited rides, air-brush face painting, live music, arts & crafts, balloon animals, a pumpkin patch, and trick-or-treating!

    Early admission begins at 6pm and gates open at 7pm for general admission. Early admission is offered at $20 per person and general admission is offered at $15 per person.  Children under 36 months are admitted free of charge.  Tickets will be sold for a single night and will be honored only for the night purchased.
