Cullen was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 1998.  In his career he has shared the bandstand with Bobby Mitchell, Eddie Bo, Professor Longhair, Al “Carnival Time” Johnson and many others.  His goal is to preserve the New Orleans musical heritage encompassed by the ground-breaking New Orleans music of the 1950’s and

    Over the past 16 years, the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience has built a reputation for drawing some of the biggest names in music to City Park for one of the biggest Halloween celebrations in the country. This year is no different, with a line-up that includes 75+ artists. The Experience takes place on the Festival Grounds also include a wide variety of New Orleans cuisine, a Farris wheel, rides and large scale interactive art installations.     NOMA has teamed up with the East Jefferson Wellness Center to offer wellness classes throughout the week.  Saturday morning’s Yoga in the Sculpture Garden classes are taught in the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden when weather allows.  The beginner friendly classes are $5 and free for NOMA and East Jefferson Wellness Center members.  To register for Yoga in the Sculpture Garden, call East Jefferson Healthfinders at (504) 456-5000.

    Each year the funds raised at Odyssey help ensure NOMA’s ability to present world-class exhibitions, public programs, and educational initiatives. Odyssey also provides an opportunity to celebrate the community of supporters who allow NOMA to thrive now and flourish for generations to come.

 Show up at the Volunteer Center on Harrison Ave prepared to work. Wear closed toe shoes & bring drinking water with you.
