Looking for information you need to know about amusement rides in Carousel Gardens during Celebration in the Oaks? You're in the right place!
To enter Celebration in the Oaks, an admission ticket must be purchased. You may do that at the ticket booth on Victory Avenue but we suggest buying the tickets online at CelebrationInTheOaks.com so you can avoid a ticket line.
Please remember there are three parts of the event. 1) Carousel Gardens Amusement Park has 17 rides and some lights. 2)The train ride through 2 miles of the front of City Park shows off many lighted installations. 3) The New Orleans Botanical Garden. This third part of the event will show off the majority of the lights.
Your admission ticket does not include any rides.
Your best bet is to purchase a Straight to the Gate ticket - which includes admission, an unlimited ride band, AND a dedicated entrance at Storyland (look for Humpty Dumpty).
-Children under 3 and Friends of City Park Members: Free (Are you a member? - click here)
-$18/unlimited ride band (includes train)
-Admission tickets do not have dates on them. Tickets are good for any night the event is open in the current season.
- Last entry to event is 20 minutes prior to closing. Train tickets sales on-site will stop one hour before closing. At one hour before closing, visitors will not be able to get in the train line. This will also happen with other Amusement Park rides. Individual train tickets may be used in place of any single ride ticket for any other ride in the Amusement Park (but not the other way around).
New for the 2018 Season:
-Parker’s Station Reservation: a reservation system for the holiday train. Guests may upgrade their train ticket to purchase a reservation time to board the train. Guest using the Parker’s Station Reservation will not have to wait in the general admission line and can instead get a time to return and spend the time they would normally wait enjoying other parts of the event and return to the Parker’s Station Reservation line to board.
Train: This ride is great for the whole family! Like with any ride, any child over 36" must have a ticket. On certain rides (listed below) any child under 36" does not need a ticket, but must be accompanied by a paid adult. Due to the increased responsibility when riding the rides with a small child, we consider "adults" to be someone at least 18 years old.
There is 'stroller parking' for the Train ride only.
Children under 36" inches are only allowed to ride 4 rides (with a paid adult).
All other rides, children must be at least 36". Some rides have higher height restrictions.
For the safety of our guests, height requirements are strictly enforced.
An attendant will measure all guests before boarding an attraction. Please have your child measured at the ticket window before purchasing a ticket or wristband.
