Celebration in the Oaks Preview Party
One of the premier parties of the holiday season in New Orleans, this dazzling soiree kicks off the annual lights display. Guests get the first glimpse of the lights and are given exclusive access to the Botanical Garden and Train Route.
Naturally, because this is New Orleans, food, music and adult beverages are available in abundance. Guests are treated to live music, a DJ, a Silent Disco, and a tantalizing array of foods from 30 local restaurants and caterers.

The Annual Culinary Competition at the Celebration in the Oaks Preview Party 2019:
In an effort to present our guests with the best food our city has to offer, this year's Celebration in the Oaks Preview Party will hold the third annual Culinary Competition among all participating restaurants.
Food donors will be asked to serve stand-out dishes, with guest judges tasting all dishes and voting on a variety of categories, such as best holiday dish, most original dish, best table display and most festive server uniforms.
Last year's competition was a huge success, and food vendors are getting excited to present delicious dishes again this year!
Dook Chase IV and Chenier Taylor
Judges will get to work 30 minutes prior to the event start time (7pm) and taste small samples of each restaurant's dish. Once all tastings have been completed, judges will vote on each category. Winners will be announced and presented with awards in the middle of the party.
Please let us know if your restaurant would like to be a donor for the Celebration in the Oaks Preview Party and therefore be entered into the Culinary Competition. Please email Julie at JLaCour@nocp.org and place "restaurant" in the subject line of the email.
There is no refund due to rain, power outages, and other unforeseen conditions for this fundraiser. Should the event need to be canceled for any reason, please visit NewOrleansCityPark.com for information. Please keep in mind our events are fundraisers. When possible the event will be rescheduled for the following night. Should that not be possible, no refunds will be given, and we invite ticket holders to consider their ticket as a donation to the Park.
