How to get here, and what to do once you find us!

Getting to the front gates of Celebration in the Oaks: Place 5 Victory Avenue in your GPS. (do not use the Park's main address at 1 Palm Drive). Please use this address as the 'ride share' address as well.

Getting to City Park:

The Administration Building's address is 1 Palm Drive, New Orleans, LA 70124; however within its 1300 acres there are many places within the Park that have their own addresses. Please use the map or individual pages on the website for help.

Streetcar/Public Transportation:
If taking public transportation from downtown, take the 48-City Park/Museum streetcar on the Canal Street streetcar line. Depart the streetcar at the end of the City Park Line at Lelong/Esplanade and Carrollton Avenues and walk into City Park. Walk down Lelong, behind the museum, and take a left on Victory Avenue. You can't miss us but in case you do we're at 5 Victory Avenue. 

Connecting service is also available with a transfer to the City Park Line from the St. Charles Streetcar Uptown or via RTA buses. To view bus routes, call the RTA Rideline at 827-RIDE (7433) or visit norta.com.

From the West:
Baton Rouge/LaPlace/Airport/Kenner/Metairie
Take I-10 East towards New Orleans.
Veer right onto I-10 at the I-10/I-610 split.
Take the City Park Ave./Metairie Rd. Exit (231-A).
Turn left onto City Park Ave.
Turn left at Carrollton Ave.
Turn left onto Lelong Ave. into the Park (at Esplanade Ave.).

From the East:
Mississippi Gulf Coast/Slidell/East New Orleans
Take I-10 West.
Take I-610 West exit towards Baton Rouge/New Orleans International Airport (Exit #238B).
Take the Canal Blvd. Exit (1-A).
Turn left onto Canal Blvd.
Turn left at City Park Ave.
Turn left at Carrollton Ave.
Turn left onto Lelong Ave. into the Park (at Esplanade Ave.).

From the West Bank:
Algiers/Gretna/Harvey
Take the West Bank Expressway (Business 90/90-B).
Cross the river via the Crescent City Connection.
Take I-10 West.
Take the City Park Ave./Metairie Rd. Exit (231-A).
Turn right onto City Park Ave.
Turn left at Carrollton Ave.
Turn left onto Lelong Ave. into the Park (at Esplanade Ave.).

From Downtown:
French Quarter, Downtown, Warehouse District
Take Canal Street to Carrollton Ave.
Turn right onto Carrollton Ave.
Turn left onto Lelong Ave. into the Park (at Esplanade Ave.).

CITY PARK FACTS:

The Peristyle, a magnificent Neo-Classical pavilion with Ionic columns, is one of City Park's oldest structures. It was built in 1907 and originally designed as a platform for dancing.
