To keep the dog bark looking its best, NOLA City Bark’s volunteer board hosts both events to raise funds and work days to tackle projects that the normal maintenance team is not able to do. We depend on our permit holders to volunteer to help accomplish these tasks. Please let us know if you are interested in helping by emailing, firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate if you prefer work days at the park or volunteering at events such as 101 Donations, Anniversary Celebration or our holiday costume contest and we will contact you at the appropriate time.
Every other year, NOLA City Bark host a fundraiser “101 Donations” to raise money for capital improvements and major repairs at the dog park. In the past, the lighting, irrigation systems, major drainage, ground repair, small dog park shelter and a walkway are some of the projects that have been funded strictly by “101 Donations.”
2017 “101 DONATIONS”—BOW WOW LUAU:
Get your Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts ready for our FUNraiser on August 19, 2017, in the Arbor Room at Popp Fountain. Board members Dean Howard and Scott Discon are co-chairing the event which is sure to be one of the dog gone best parties of the year! City Park Catering will tempt your taste buds with tasty luau treats. Wine, beer, and a special Hawaiian cocktail will be served. Live music featuring our very own, Prescriptions band will keep you entertained as you bid on an array of exceptional auction items.
Volunteers are always needed before, during, and after the event. The more you get involved for your dog park, the more fun you'll have!
Please plan to sponsor a doggy bone or a Dalmatian dog and invite friends to join you at this "dog days" event. Monies raised will be used for capital improvements (soon to be announced) and big expense maintenance items at the dog park. Forms are available below so you can get involved by supplying auction items and/or becoming a sponsor
