The annual Happy 3rd of July event promises to be a spectacular show. Join us for the party dressed in your red, white, and blue best! Bring your chairs and blankets to enjoy patriotic music from The Marine Corps Band New Orleans on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn and fireworks from the top of the Peristyle. Arrive early for patriotic give-a-ways and a great spot on the lawn. The Marine Corps Band New Orleans will play patriotic music including the 1812 Overture, America the Beautiful, and other favorites.
Concessions will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own picnic.

This year City Park will also be selling snoballs through their ‘Snoball Concierge Service’ with snoballs made in front of guests while they relax enjoying the music.
Due to large crowds and noise from the fireworks, we encourage you to leave your pets at home.
In an effort to minimize our environmental impact, New Orleans City Park will offer recycling and composting services at the Happy 3rd of July event. Please help City Park reduce event waste by bringing refreshments and food in reusable containers, recycling plastic bottles, and aluminum cans and by composting food waste.

WHERE: The Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn
Dreyfous Avenue and Anseman Street will be closed before, during, and immediately after this event.
HOURS: 7pm to 8:15pm: Marine Introductions and Marine Corps Brass/Funk Band
8:30pm to 9pm: The Marine Corps Band New Orleans
9 pm: Fireworks from the top of the Peristyle (time is tentative)
COST: This is a free event.
Traffic and Parking Information: Dreyfous will be closed at Anseman at 3pm until 11pm. The City Putt parking lot will be closed to the general public. All remaining lots will be open to the public. If dry, we will also utilize Irby Field for parking. After the event, staff will direct all traffic from Victory Drive on to Marconi heading north.
Do not stake tents or blankets into the lawn.
