This 25-acre, enclosed green space is bounded by scenic lagoons, lush cypress, oak and magnolia groves. The Meadow is ideal for festivals, open-air concerts, convention events and corporate picnics. Accommodating as many at 25,000 guests, the Meadow's amenities include a 50-foot by 100-foot permanent shelter with lighting and electricity, horseshoe pits, a grassy volleyball court, softball area, fishing dock and children's playground. The Meadow is an excellent location for sampling City Park Catering specialties such as hot boiled crawfish, jambalaya and cochon-de-lait. In conjunction with Scout Island, Marconi Meadow can accomodate as many as 50,000 for major events.
