This garden has an array of plants ranging from Parsley Hawthorn (Crataegus marshallii), thickets of Swamp Doghobble (Leucothoe racemosaItea virginica). Transitioning to the prairie, underneath towering pines are beautiful rain lilies. The prairie consists of an abundance of sun loving plants such as Blue-Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium angustifolium) that edge the walkway with Neches River Rose Mallow (Hibiscus dasycalyx) prominently standing in back along with Rattlesnake Master (Eryngium yuccifolium) and Prairie Blazingstar (Liatris pycnostachya). Cheerful flowers of the Texas Coneflower (Rudbeckia texana) brighten up this prairie garden with a centerpiece of a large Southern Magnolia. The garden ends in our wet area with our beloved Louisiana Irises of all colors. There is a wide range of native plants to explore in this garden.
