  • Fishing Workshop

    Friends of City ParkKid FriendlyNature

    LOOP NOLA is hosting a youth fishing workshop for Friends of City Park members. Rods, reels, lures, and fishing stories will be provided. Learn the basics of casting, what types of fish are found in City Park, and what type of lures or bait to use when freshwater fishing in Louisiana. Minimum age is 8 and all youth 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

    Tuesday, Jan. 25, the Louisiana Department of Health will host a vaccine drive for children ages 5 to 11 on the City Putt terrace from 2m to 5pm

    City Park and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra invite you to join us on the second Saturday of each month for “Popp” Up Musical Storytimes at the Popp Bandstand! The series continues with hornist Josiah Bullach and the story Mikey and the Dragons by Jocko Willink.

  • Camping 101 for Families

    Learn basic skills and tips for tent camping as a family with LOOP NOLA’s Camping 101 program! The program is for both children and their parent/guardians to have fun working together and learning the basics of camping. You’ll learn how to prep for the trip, safely set up camp, build a fire, cook, and more! All ages and experience levels welcome and COVID-19 guidelines will be strictly followed.

    City Park and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra invite you to join us on the second Saturday of each month for “Popp” Up Musical Storytimes at the Popp Bandstand! The series continues with cellist David Rosen and the story A Cello Named Pablo by Marni Fogelson. 

  • City Park Challenge Course

    The City Park Challenge Course features nine physical and mental challenges at 25 feet in the air and above. The General Public Day is designed for individuals and families who want to push their limits for a fun, active day in City Park. This event is open to the public, but tickets must be purchased beforehand to reserve the limited spots.

    City Park and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra invite you to join us on the second Saturday of each month for “Popp” Up Musical Storytimes at the Popp Bandstand! The series continues with cellist Rachel Hsieh and the story I Know A Shy Fellow Who Swallowed a Cello by Barbara S. Garriel.
