Celebration In The Oaks

Celebration in the Oaks in City Park is one of the most spectacular holiday lights festivals in the south, with more than 150,000 visitors pouring into the park to see the month-long, magical winter spectacle.

Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series

This weekly series showcases a changing lineup of musicians and bands playing everything from ragtime to classical jazz.

Fall Garden Festival

The annual Fall Garden Festival invites visitors to explore horticultural exhibits and enjoy educational classes and family-friendly activities.

Scarecrow Trail (2020 event canceled)

Create a one-of-a-kind scarecrow for the Fall Garden Festival Scarecrow Contest! Individuals, families, businesses, civic organizations and schools are all invited to participate in this annual competition.

Ghosts in the Oaks

This spook-tacular two-night Halloween fundraising event hosted by the Friends of City Park offers non-scary fun for the whole family.

Lark in the Park

Since 1982, Lark in the Park has been the premier annual fundraising event hosted by Friends of City Park. With 85 percent of City Park’s operating income coming from self-generated funds, events like Lark in the Park are critical to the Park’s capital improvements.

Martini Madness

Grab ‘olive’ your friends for a great cause! More than 30 specialty martinis – from the classics to one-of-a-kind creations – are the highlight of this annual fundraiser hosted by Friends of City Park. Guests are also treated to exquisite eats from local restaurants and live entertainment.

Pelican Greenhouse Plant Sales

The New Orleans Botanical Garden hosts plant sales with a wide variety of plants including annuals, perennials, roses, gingers, edibles, succulents, and native plants for sale to the public.

Spring Garden Show

Join garden lovers at this year’s Fall Garden Festival to celebrate the educational experience for home gardeners and professionals.

Swing in the Oaks

Bring your blankets, chairs and picnic fare to this free annual concert on Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn presented by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and City Park.

Join us in our Happy 3rd of July celebration presented by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust! Guests are encouraged to arrive early with chairs, blankets and picnics, while donning their red, white and blue. Enjoy patriotic music with the Marine Forces Reserve Band on the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn and fireworks at the Peristyle.

Earth Day

Earth Day a celebration of our home! Come to this annual event to learn about recycling, green initiatives, and more. And of course to have fun! Music, dancing, educational lectures, cooking demos - we know you'll have a great time!

Egg Scramble (kids 8 years old and younger)

Scout Island Scream Park

Nights of Frights - Scout Island Scream Park. For select days in October, Scout Island, a wooded area located in City Park North of I-610, will be transformed into a land of terror.
