The New Orleans Botanical Garden invites individuals, families, businesses, civic organizations, and schools to create a one of a kind scarecrow for our scarecrow trail. The scarecrow trail kicks off during our Fall Garden Festival, October 5 and 6, 2019.
Your creation should fall into one of these three categories: traditional, funny, or scary. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be picked out of those categories. We will have Best of Show for the overall competition. $100.00 CASH prize for “Best of Show” adult category and “Best School” for school category. Scarecrows should be appropriate for family viewing.
The scarecrow will be on display from October 5th through October 31st. They will be judged on October 5th during the 2019 Fall Garden Festival
October 3rd from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and October 4th 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
