Hurricane Ida caused widespread damage within City Park including to the Tennis Center’s clay courts.
The courts are insured through the State of Louisiana and are awaiting assessment by insurance. The high amount of damage to state assets has created delays in onsite assessments, but we have been assured that this should take place very soon.

Now, nearly two weeks after Hurricane Ida made landfall, the Park has made significant strides in addressing fallen trees and removing countless tons of debris. Our urban tree canopy was significantly impacted, along with other Park amenities. Much more work remains.

Free groceries to be distributed today, September 8th, 2:00 pm at Tad Gormley Stadium
Culture Aid NOLA will host a 70,000+ lb free food giveaway beginning at 2pm on Wednesday, September 8th at Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park in New Orleans 5400 Stadium Drive.
Guests at the event will receive bags of fresh fruits and vegetables, while dancing (in their cars) to brass bands curated by Derrick Freeman and DJ Siphne Aaye....
