Photography Policy

When you attend a New Orleans City Park attraction, event or program, you enter an area where photography, as well as audio and video recording, may occur.

By attending New Orleans City Park attractions, events or programs, you grant permission to New Orleans City Park to use, or authorize others to use, any photograph, motion picture, image, recording, or any other record of your participation at the attraction, in the event or in the program, in perpetuity, in all media and means, now known or hereafter developed or discovered, for commercial purposes or any other legitimate purpose whatsoever. You further release New Orleans City Park, including, but not limited to, its officers employees, agents, contractors, and representatives, from any and all liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings relating to your participation in the event or program in question.

By attending the attraction, event or program, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by New Orleans City Park or the person or entity designated to do so by New Orleans City Park. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event or program.

Since 1906, visitors have flocked to City Park to see the "flying horses" on the antique carousel, one of only 100 wooden carousels still operating in the country and the only one in Louisiana.
