Return of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Tennis Tournament
in New Orleans City Park

New Orleans (June 23, 2016)

After nearly two decades the Allstate Sugar Bowl Tennis Tournament is returning to New Orleans City Park. Considered to be the finest tennis facility in the state, the event will be played at the City Park/Pepsi Tennis Center.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl Tennis Tournament is sanctioned by the United State Tennis Association and is expected to draw top players, 12 to 18 year old boys/girls and 12 to 18 boys doubles/girls doubles, from around the nine states of the Southern Section.  New Orleans City Park will run the tournament with the support of the Louisiana Tennis Association.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl hosts and sponsors over 50 annual amateur athletic events to promote tourism and generate economic impact for the region.

Representatives of the tournament and the Sugar Bowl will be present.

About the Allstate Sugar Bowl:

The 83rd Allstate Sugar Bowl Football Classic, featuring teams from the Big 12 and the SEC, will be played on January 2, 2017.
