  • Magic in the Moonlight

    Magic in the Moonlight is an al fresco dinner held under the stars and dramatically lit oaks of the New Orleans Botanical Garden. Proceeds from this year’s Magic in the Moonlight will be used to build an outdoor teaching kitchen which will host educational programs, cooking classes, and workshops in the Garden.

    The event's featured chef, John Folse, will prepare a four-course dinner served on flower-filled, candlelit tables in the garden.  There will be a fabulous auction of special items.  We promise a beautiful and fun evening to benefit the Botanical Garden; a destination of serenity and beauty in the heart of New Orleans.     To engage the next generation of supporters, there will be a ‘party within a party’ for the 45 and under crowd – the Moonlighters.  This group will also enjoy a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and then everyone is invited to stay for dancing!  Visit this link for additional information and tickets.     Linnzi Zaorski is a jazz singer and songwriter based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Originally from central Louisiana, she moved to New Orleans in the late 1990s. One evening she stumbled upon a traditional jazz band performing at a dive bar in the French Quarter and began singing with them regularly. Linnzi and this group eventually coalesced to form The New Orleans Jazz Vipers, and they began performing regularly at the Spotted Cat Music Club and in other venues around New Orleans in the early 2000s. She started her own band, Delta Royale, in 2002 and has since recorded six albums under her own name with some of the finest musicians in New Orleans.
